This means properties in Lydiate had an overall average price of £244,721 over the last year.
Here is a look at some of the new housing projects popping up across Sefton.
The biggest housing development in Sefton at the moment is in Maghull.
More than 1,700 houses are set to be built on the former greenbelt land east of Maghull.
This is part of two separate housing developers building next to each other.
Sefton Council initially agreed to remove the land from the Green Belt in April 2017 to allow it to be used for homes and a business park.
As part of the agreement with developers to build on the land, they must financially contribute towards a new health care facility in Maghull, the expansion of Summerhill Primary School and a new bus service through the site.
A massive 1,721 houses are to be built a mile from Maghull town centre on farmland associated with Bridge Farm and The Poplars between Maghull and the M58.
